Jake Palmer
2007 - 2020
Jake joined our family in September 2012 arriving in a crate with his buddy Joey, rescued from a high-kill shelter in Lancaster California. He was a social dog and made many friends. Dr’s Virk and Ghuman welcomed Jake to their Peace Arch Clinic when Taylor worked there. Jake seemed to think he had a job there to greet people and their pets. Kitty was his special friend, one of the few women Jake fully welcomed into his life.
He wasn’t a very big dog, and he was quiet; yet he made a favourable impression on those he met.

Danielle Bulgin

Danielle started her practicum here in April 2021 after completing her schooling to become a veterinary medical assistant in Alberta. She decided to become part of the team as soon as she was able to. You can find her on her days off cuddling up with her cats Artemis and Apollo on the couch.

Abigail

Abigail joined the Peace Arch team in March 2025 after completing her Veterinary Assistant program at Douglas College. Having such a deep passion for helping animals and their well being, Abigail decided to go back to school to become a Veterinary Technician. She recently started her course in September 2025. You can often find her at the beach or in a park enjoying nature. At home she lives with a dog named willow, and her two cats named Tango & Cash.

Emma Scheller
I'm Emma, and these are my dogs Blue and Bell! I have lived with animals of all sizes my entire life; dogs, cats, even horses... so I guess you could say it's a passion of mine. The lessons that I have been taught include compassion, love, and many others. My favourite thing to do with my dogs is to go on long nature walks and let them splash around in puddles and creeks (I'm pretty sure they love water more than they love me). The best part of the job is getting to know people and their fur babies and making sure they get the best care possible!

Emily
Hey! I am Emily and this is my cat Tyger. On the weekends we love to relax, watch movies together and snack. When the weather is nice we prefer to go outside, bask in the sun and bird watch. Tyger isn't much of a fan of other people or animals, but I love people and their animals! That's why I chose to pursue my career in veterinary medicine and live the dream of helping heal your furry family members.
